Zigs Pinwheels Quilt plus Moda Wee Play Today I am looking for feedback. You don’t need to be a quilter. You don’t need to an expert. You just need to have an opinion and the ability to type. 🙂

I have been planning a Ziggy’s Pinwheels Quilt and I want to do it with Moda’s Wee Play collection. (ok ok, there is some peas and carrots in there too, just in case Charlie is reading :P) What I need YOUR help with is the color layout.

Have a look at the following four blocks and please vote in the comments.  I’d also like your opinion on the sashing. Soooooo here goes……

Thanks for leaving your vote for the blocks, and the sashing color you think would be best. I’m looking forward to hearing all your opinions!!

On Friday December 18 the author added:

PS. Looks like we’re getting a lot of different opinions now! I’ll keep the voting open until Saturday at midnight. Make sure to come back on Sunday to find out:
A)The winning block,
B) What I’m going to do with this quilt kit 🙂 and…..
C) HOW IT AFFECTS YOU!!!

  2. FUN, FUN!! Love the colors! Block #2 with the light sashing would be my first choice, especially with that border. Soooo cute! It’s hard to pick.

  3. Block 1 with green sashing!
(Block 2 looks nice color-wise, but I think the values are too close together and the scale of the two main fabrics are too similar. Blocks 3 & 4 both make my eyes hurt!)

    LOVE the border fabric!

  4. I think that block 4 shows the pinwheels off the best. I would use sashing 3(red) or 4(orange). I think the red sashing would bring out the pinwheels the best but if you want to use a lot of the different colors the orange would work well too.

LOVE the stripes for the border!

  6. I vote for block 2 with orange sashing as my first choice or block 1 with green sashing as my second.

I’m not really fond of that lighter fabric at all.

  37. I like block 4 with the orange sashing. I did the “squint” test and block 4 had the most variation and I love the way it almost looks like a candy-cane! I’d go with the orange sashing as well.

Can’t wait to see which one you pick and, of course, the finished top!

    Happy Holidays
