Hi everyone!!
I am so excited to share today’s post with you. 🙂 Let’s jump right in k?
Again this week I broke up my tasks to make the job less daunting. Monday, I pressed the white background fabric so the cutting would be easier. Tuesday I cut the 15 inch squares and marked them for centering the Dresden plates. Wednesday, I laid out the plates and pinned them in place. Lastly, on Thursday, I stitched the first one in place. Being guild night, I had to cut it short, but I am pleased with finishing one.
Oh! Look there it is! 🙂
As you know from my earlier posts, the initial stage of this quilt was made much easier through the use of an Accuquilt GO cutter. I am very pleased with my GO cutter and if it is a purchase you are considering, I would truly recommend it. I think I’d like to have the 2.5″ strip cutter, having cut a bunch this week! I don’t know what die I’d design – they have one for everything I’ve contemplated lately! And I have a beautiful quilt top someone gave me that I’d love to finish, just haven’t had time to get it on the frame! Thanks for the chance to win!

I’m already a subscriber and enjoy your blog. If I had my choice I would have the Studio Die Cutter. There are so many dies available I can’t think of one I’d like to design. My UFO that I’d like to finish is Botanika by Robin Pandolph. I’m making an applique border instead of piecing it. Just need to get busy on it.

I have a UFO which is about ten years old. It is a pretty yellow bed quilt with sheep on it. I started out hand quilting it and have never gone back to it. Maybe this is the year!

Meant to say dresden plate die although the Studio cutter is on my wish list as well. There are so many dies available I can’t think of one I’d like to design. I am already a subscriber and enjoy reading your blog. I would wish to have the dresden quilt die as I have always wanted to make that quilt.
My UFO is a disappearing 9 patch to be given as a soldier quilt. Finding just the right material is what is holding me back. I have most picked out, but need 2 more fabrics.

I love the accuquilt feathers die, saw a quilt at Houston’s International Quilt Festival made with it and loved it! I would create a die that cuts flourishes, much like the Ricky Tim’s Bohemia set!
The ufo that bugs me the most is my Borders Quilt by Winnie Fleming. Only 3 borders to go and it would be finished.

Just discovered your Blog last night, and signed up right away!
I would pick the Carefree Alphabet Set, because I think I would get a lot of use out of it. And, as far at UFO’s, my major stumbling block is getting it done. I live in a very small apartment, and have limited space. Trying to get the three layers together, and then getting it quilted is where I get stuck. I have sent a few out to be quilted, but that becomes costly, and I can’t do that all the time. So, I try to work on smaller projects that I can manage, and quilt myself.

Love your blog! If I chose a die it would be the 2″ half square or the parallelogram because I do a lot of quilts with that shape in it.
My unfinished project is a zig zag quilt. I have been indecisive how I want to finish it. That is all that is holding me back.

I’m already a subscriber and look forward to your updates in my email. The whimsical me, would love to have Stacy Michell’s “Home” set. I love the little houses and tree. The practical side of me wants the half square triangle die that makes multiple triangles that finish at 2″.
If I were creating dies for the Go they would be shapes suitable for applique. I would love to have a sea horse, snail, owl, octopus, and farm animals.

I am a follower… and would love to own a GO!. I think I might want the Half Square 2″ finished triangles…My bucket list includes a scrappy quilt of triangles… My biggest UFO is a quilt for my Mom….most of the units are cut and pieced and I can’t seem to get back into it…need to get it organized…

The die I would love to have is the Cancer Ribbon – I want to complete 5 quilts for my siblings in honor of my mum who passed from Breast cancer and this would finish the quilts off nicely. If I could design my own die I think I would like to see a variety of dogs – again something I think would be fun to applique to a quilt. And last by UFO is a quilt my daughter sent to me as a kit for my birthday last year – too may inset pieces that are driving me crazy.

I think I’d like one of the strip dies. I have so many scraps and would love to get them into usable strips 🙂 Maybe someday…LOL I’m not sure what die I would create, seems as though they have one for everything! I NEED to finish my sons quilt! I have the center made and the borders made. Now I just need to do the math to figure out the sashing between the 2…ugh! Considering his 2 YOUNGER siblings both of quilts, he’s rather irritated that his isn’t done yet 🙂 Poor boy…as if he doesn’t have anything!
And also, yes, your blog is VERY small and hard to read. Thankfully I got it in an email also which made it legible.

I would love the equilateral triangles or the half square triangle die, those are my favourites. As for a project – there is a baby quilt that I just can’t finish, it’s just sitting there. I made it based on my husband’s wishes and I dislike the colours, etc.

I love the heart for the Go cutter, and the UFO I would most like to complete is a Dresden plate in Christmas fabrics that I started in the summer of ’11. I just don’t have time to work on it with trying to get all the commissions I have due and baby stuff for my new grandson.

Wow, the print was little on that post! Anyway, here are my answers:
1. The die I’d want the most is the fall medley one. All those leaf shapes are calling to me. I saw a few projects online last fall that used them and I NEED me some fall decor items 🙂
2. The UFO that keeps rearing its head, is a paper pieced quilt. I was in on a cutting swap, where we sent the cut pieces to each member for their paticular block using their color schemes from our stash. I was intending to make a new quilt for the couch in rusts and greens, and everytime I look at my tattered, much loved one, I get the pressure to go work on that quilt…I have been neglecting it for a few years now….but I REALLY need the old one replaced soon! 🙂

I am a subscriber and the die I would like is the circles 2,3, & 5″. I have two quilts that need to be quilted right now and naturally other quilts that have parts to be cut out and sewn.

I would really like to have the 1inch finished half square triangle. They are so small and hard for me to cut. My designed die would be a bunny rabbit with pieces for the nose, ears and eyes. I have started to follow you now that I have found your blog.

There are a few dies I really want. I love the Dresden Plate die, and your block is so pretty. I want the 3 1/2″ Drunkard’s Path, and the Rob Peter to Pay Paul die. And the applique dies, especially the heart. If I could design a die, I would want longer 1/2 square triangles, to cut more at once, not just 4 (not counting layers). Oh, Turtles for applique would be cute, too.
The one UFO that is bugging me needs to be quilted and bound. It’s my version of The Aloha Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini (Red Rooster fabric’s design, my colors.) It’s going to be a wall hanging for me, and I can’t decide how to quilt it. I’m also working on a quilt for my son. The top of the Double Irish Chain (QIAD) is done, but I haven’t started the Seminole borders. It’s going to take so long to make that many pieces!! lol Love your blog and quilts. Thanks! I would love the Winding Ways Die. I hand cut and handpieced this quilt as therpy when I had surgery on my hand. I just love this pattern.
My UFO to finish is my quilt tops that have to be quilted. I’m a longarmer and custoner quilts come first,then mine. Just like the cobbler’s kids….LOL

I would choose the Rick Rack die. If I could design a die, it would be and Easter holiday die.

My #1 choice would be the Holiday Medley. If I could design a die I think it would have to be frogs for applique. I only have one UFO left so I guess it would have to be that one. It’s a lap quilt that originally started out as a queen size but I ran out of 2 fabrics (bad calculations) and couldn’t get them anymore. It’s been sitting in my closet for over 3 years now and I’ve finally gotten back at it just this week..all sandwiched and ready for FMQ now 🙂

I would like the Go Flower Power Die Set, ’cause I love flowers and power lol. I Would design something odd shaped ie stretched diamond. My UFO is my very first quilt top, it has been waiting to get longarmed since March of last year, now I’m just waiting for invisible thread that I ordered.

I would love to have the studio marshmallow 1 1/2″ upper case alphabet die. That would get lots of use. Actually any of the dies would get used! If I designed some it would be my own designs – flowers, baskets, feathers, ginko leaves, folk art designs. Too many to pick just one!

OHMIGOSH – just ONE die? There are a few I’d love to have, but I fell in love with the Star Medley 5 Point Die. I kinda have a thing for stars! 🙂
If I was designing a die myself, it would be a simple nativity silhouette. I would have TONS of projects to do with it!
UFOs are plentiful right now, in part because I had an accident last year, and hurt my left hand. Cutting has been hard for me – I can’t just stand and cut a whole set of fabric for a project anymore. My hand hurts too much to hold the ruler, etc. SO, another reason I’d LOVE a GO!, so I can actually get back into quilting again. I have a Thangles project I am doing with my daughter, but the cutting has been an issue. So it isn’t finished piecing yet. 😦 And there are others… many others! LOL!

The Dresdan dies would be my choice. As for what I would design – I’m a cat lover, so silhouettes of cats would be my wish. I have lots of UFOs right now, but have made a resolution to finish at least one a month this year.

I just subscribed last night. What a great giveaway! I think I’d choose the 4″ Carefree alphabet set because they are tedious to cut by hand and I would make the magnet alpha sets I’ve been mening to do. As for deigning one….a flying geese one that’s already complete once it goes thru the machine. They’re my arch nemesis right now. I avoid them like the plague. Lol. A project I would like to finish is my cherish by nature quilt I started over a year ago. It’s been on the back burner so I could get some gifts finished.

A lot faster than the dresden I did about 10 yrs ago. I think it took me almost that long to scissor cut all the pieces 😦 ! My ufo is a tree skirt I have finished except for the pieced binding. I have a pile of 5″ squares to sew together 😦 Maybe this month!!!

Hi. I really enjoy your blog! I’d love the heart die! I’d design a Super Mario die so I could easily appliqué a quilt for my son..
My UFO is my Mum’s quilt. It is pieced and appliqued with only the border to go – but I can’t find fabric I love.. So it just keeps going shopping. Been seeing it for 2 years!

Wow this is such a hard decision, so many dies I would love but the one I could use right now would be the Go mix n match 12″ block die set as I want to make a batik star quilt and that set would sure come in handy. I have a few ufo’s but the one I really should finish is a 3″ square quilt I made with scraps. I hand quilted hearts over it and was disappointed with the result, so half way through I decided to try
fmo – big mistake as I now need to unpick it – sadly this quilt sits and waits…

hi, i am a very beginner quilter(in fact, i still have the new quilter smell, haha) but i would LOVE to have this. being disabled, i have a hard time standing to cut and iron. i do what i can but i get frustrated because i can’t do more faster. i would love the alphabet dies for quilts for all my grandbabies and if i could design one, it would have to be teacups and saucers. i have been collected tea sets for as long as i can remember. wouldn’t they make a beautiful quilt? i have 3 tops completed and i am working on FM quilting on the crib size. i am LOVING doing this part and it’s going relatively fast since i can sit and do it. good luck to everyone and i will be putting this on my blog

Hi Bradie! I would LOVE to win a Go cutter, so thanks for hosting this give-away. If I could design a die?… hmmm, I would design a set for Noah’s Ark.. you could always use the individual dies over and over in pretty much any kids quilt. If I were to pick a die (Only One???), it would be the sleigh and snowflakes set… LOTS of potential there.
My oldest UFO is a wallhanging that I designed for my SIL, and it has been complete except for the binding for about 5 years… I’m not sure why I haven’t finished it.. jsut so busy with other projects that seemed to take priority… hopefully it’ll get done this year. I think I’d like either the circle die or the tumblers die. I quite a few UFOs to finish one I would like to finish nis the Dr. Seuss quilt I designed all it really needs is for me to finish the back, quilt and bind it. I’m hoping to finish up a later Christmas present this weekend and maybe I’ll work on the good doctor after that. I have been a follower of your blog for a while . Thanks and happy sewing!

I would love to have the heart set but also the Go! Classic die set as it has the double wedding ring dies in it. Wow, a UFO I would like to finish…. hmmm, I can only pick one???? LOL Probably my Running Free with no Fences wallhanging. Applique of three horses running across an open field done completely with batiks. It just needs one more border put on it and then quilted. I would love to send it to your Matt to quilt it as I know he would do some beautiful things with it. It is a very special wallhanging for me as it represents the three horses we have that we have gone many miles on trailriding and working cattle.

I would any of them because i am a smiple person and any little things that is small and easy. I am new at all of this and it is so hard for me do even cut a 4 by 6 for a postcard for the group i am in. The ufo would be to make a quit for anyone that i can. Right know i am trying to make my mother in law one. I would like to make one for a fallen soldier, for a fallen police officer and for someone in the hosptial. What is holding me back is my friend that used to live next to me had to move so it has been hard for me to learn how to do all of it. but i hope one day that i can get it done right. thank you

I would love to win this Accuquilt GO and of course would choose the 2.5 strip die so I could get my scrap bin(s) organized! As for UFO, several years ago I made many scrappy Churn Dash blocks with hopes of one day sewing them in an ”on-point” setting quilt, so need to give them a home besides the pizza box they have resting in. What is keeping me from finishing it is a final setting pattern.

I am subscribed! If I won the Go! cutter I would want to get the hexagon die. It would speed up the progress on my Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt. If I were to design a new die, I would make frogs, because I love frogs! I would applique them on everything! The UFO I would finish is a Five Funky Monkeys wall hanging for my son. The top is finished, I just need to figure out how to quilt it! ( which has been a year) Shame on me! Thanks for the chance at the giveaway!

Hi, Bradie! Leave it to you to come up with a great blog post, and an even greater contest! The ‘Go’ die I would love to own would be the Ribbon Twist border die. I could do some really interesting designs with that one. If I were going to design a die set, it would be a set of musical shapes (treble clef, bass clef, eighth note, staff, etc.) It would make designing things that make me smile so much easier. This year, my UFO challenge is to finish the eight (yes, eight) quilts I have sandwiched and pinned, and get them quilted and bound. Perhpas the best way to do that is actually BOOK a beginner long-arm class at Sparrow Studioz, rather than just talking about it!

Oh Bradie, I have been trying to win a Go for a long time. I think that they look like a wonderful tool to own. I would like to have the apple core die or the fall medley or the butterfly. There are so many great choices.
My current quilt just needs a binding applied but my longest UFO is a tumbling blocks pattern. I have a large set of flags of batiks that have been waiting for longer than I care to admit . Perhaps it will be my goal to complete it this year.
I don’t know what I would design – I just love making quilts and playing with fabric.

I am so-o-o-o looking foward to the delivery of my Go cutter ! (Being positive)
I would choose the GO! Stars and Strips Die Set or the 4.5″ strip cutter because I could make more/ quicker quilts for The Crisis Nursery and The Quilts of Valor quilts I am working on.
I would design a 6.5″ die strip-the bigger the block- the less you need to make a quilt and finish it-lol. And it would be a good size to make many blocks.
I just finished an UFO king sized quilt that has been constructed and de-constructed 3 times in last 3 years- it was made of my mom’s clothes (polyester-needing interfacing ironed on each article of clothing used-ugh!)-she passed away 5 years ago.
It was finished for my Dad (89 yrs.old) for Christmas…and it was nice to hear brothers and sisters say “I remember this blouse and Mom did…”.
The current UFO is a quilt with ladybugs appliqued all over for 4mos.old granddaughter…just can’t quite finish those appliques…I’m a piecer at heart-lol.

Ooh so pretty! I’ve loved the Dresden since I first became more interested in quilting a little more than two years ago now.
Answering your question is very easy. I spent most of my afternoon on that website trying to figure out what I wanted to order. For months now since my husband surprised me with the Accuquilt Go Cutter and 5″ square die and of course, the value die that came with it I haven’t had any money to buy more dies. I got a little extra now so with that tiny amount I sat there drooling over which ones(s) I could buy and get the most use from and something I could also use to make a baby quilt for our Granddaughter who is supposed to arrive in about a month from now. *sigh* I have SO many that I want to have and then they make it worse and keep adding new ones I love too. LOL Anyway, the one I really want is the Dresden but I didn’t have that much to spend. I would LOVE to win that die set.
If I were to design my own die? That’s really hard for me because I am just not a super creative person that way. I think what I would love to see available would be dies that have each one needed for a quilt pattern. I hope that makes sense. It’s not really designing one but, more redesigning to make it more reachable to own them for those who just can’t spend a lot of money. As an example, Love Bug blog did a quilt along recently for the Accuquilt dies. For Block 1 she used both the chisel die and a half square 3″ finished Triangle. It would be awesome to be able to buy one die pack that had both those in one die instead of needing to buy two separate.

Oh gosh ~ UFO’s? I have one and it’s been sitting behind my machine since about October. I’ve been afraid to go further with it. This is a table runner (for Christmas) that I made in my very first beginning quilt piecing class I took last year. The teacher went through making just the few blocks needed to make this runner and then just barely touched on binding. She showed us how to cut it (not on the bias though which is why I wanted to take the class the most) and sew it onto the front BUT, that’s as far as she went other than to very quickly tell us how to stitch it onto the back. I’m scared to mess it up as I have never done binding of any kind before so that’s my story about my one and only UFO. Bottom line? I am a huge sissy. LOL

Just joined your blog, and I like what I see. The give-away is an added bonus! I would choose the Go! Rose of Sharon by Sharon Pederson because it would work perfectly into the quilt and the nursery bedding set I am making for my soon to be 1st granddaughter. Also the possibilities on other projects such as table runners, décor, pillows, etc. could be endless! If I could design a die, I would design an appliqué set with a beach or sea creature theme.
The UFO I would like to complete is a block of the month hand appliqué project which I started over two years ago. I was getting close the the end of the project, but many other projects became priority and I lost interest in it. Motivation is the only thing holding me back! I do plan on getting back to it one of these days!

Whoa…what a t-riffic give-a-way! I think I’d get a lot of use out of the “Fall Medley” dies, applique is one of my favorite things to stitch. Go! definately needs a motorcycle die…I’m fender fluff on a Harley and would love to see a die that I could use to stitch up some great pillows, totes, etc. I have a Dresden quilt WIP…have the plates complete and mounted on the blocks, but, I just haven’t found the right sashing fabric. My blocks are hunter green and my plates are vintage 30’s, 40’s & 50’s prints in all sorts of colors. Wish me luck on finding just the right color! Thanks for the chance to win. Sandy

Well, I want all the dies when I look :). However the 2.5 strips (since I can’t cut a straight line to save me!) or the 8 inch set. I have a teachers pet that is haunting me but my cutting created an issue for the binding and blank quilter’s block for the quilting.

The die I would LOVE is GO! Home by Stacy Michell. I would love to create a die of a lizard and a frog… And what is holding me back from finishing my first attempt at quilting (which is some mugmats kinda crazyquilt style) is that I do not have the space to work on at the moment (have no table space whatsoever and cannot work on the floor due to carpets being too soft, and full of dog and cat hair…Will be moving at the end of the month, and will be getting a craft room set up, and then I am all systems go:)

The die I would like to design is one to make a kaleidoscope quilt. I feel that this quilt would challenge me.
My UFO is a King sized quilt using 4 blocks from the THIMBLEBERRIES – “Vintage Stitches” quilt. Procrastination is due to the fact that the quilt is so large and heavy. The difficulty I am experiencing is the actual quilting. Some of the areas are puckered on the front of the quilt, regardless to pinning and using the quilting foot.

How generous and giving of you. Well…I am a 76 yr. old Grammy who loves to sew for family and friends. Have just started quilting. My UFO is a Dresden plate table topper based on the color wheel.. Prefer doing small projects due to space constraints. The cutter I would love to have (dare I say need) is model 55100…good to start with and easy to add dies to. One of my biggest challenges is that my hands shake and I have problems getting true cuts…no matter how hard I try. The gift of a cutter would be a blessing that would let me use the little gift I have (of sewing) to share and bless others. Preferred die would be animals , especially dogs breeds. This is my first intro to the GO cutter… amazing? Although I would love to have the double wedding ring die, the one I would probably use the most is the GO! Half Square-2″ Finished Triangle Multiples. I am currently (and have been for over a year) working on my first Dresden (actually anything other than strip quilting is a first for me). Now that I have every square completed, (no two alike), I am at a loss for how to quilt it once it is all together… Thank you for the opportunity to share.

The die I would most like is the Fantasy Flower. It would be great for embelishing bags and so much fun. I also thing Accuquilt should make a 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 chisel die. I have so many ideas in mind that would be so much better with that die.
The project I have been putting off is a Lone Star that needs to have each outer square paper pieced in a sequence of colors. It is tedious work and I got bored with it. I will have to make it a priority for this year.

Hi Bradie! Thanks for this awesome chance to win a Go Cutter. Our guild was just saying the other day how it would be nice to have but we can’t afford it! I think the snowflake die would be very useful and nice to have because it is more detailed than a lot of the other shapes. I would like to see a tree die but not a Christmas tree which is the only kind I saw on the site.
I have a Snowman Calendar quilt that I have had the top done for a few years. It is waiting to be quilted because it needs lots of different kinds of quilting – it is all applique blocks and many borders on it. I am not brave enough to tackle it yet!

I would design dies they would be for a nosegay block and an equilateral triangle, Those are quilts that are already in my head for doing next. My UFO is a green and blueish leaf quilt. I pieced maple leafs for a customer, then the customer moved away and didn’t want it anymore!! I am sort of disappointed by that customer that makes it hard to continue with the quilt and make it for myself.

So many great dies to choose from! I’d have to go with the Sparkle Diamonds set, I have such a difficult time holding the ruler steady to get true 60degree diamonds.
UFO, one of my own called Tequila Sunrise. What’s holding me up, I have half the quilting planned, but there are areas I’m stumped on and after 8 years of longarming it takes a lot to stump me! LOL Of course it would be one of my own quilts that stumps me!

I would love the double wedding ring die to make a quilt for my newly married brother in law. The die I would design would be one that cuts out cars shapes. The ufo i want to finish the most is a Halloween quilt my husband and I made together for this Halloween did my first prairie points on it and now not sure what to do to sandwich it together and quilt it, hopefully I will get it done by next Halloween

Wow, so many to choose from and not enough time so…the dresden design. If I had to design a set I’d like leaves for applique, all different sizes. I looked through the dies and couldn’t find any. But then again, I’m computer challenged.
One of my UFO’s is a Lone Star quilt that has a 15 inch border on three sides. I want a killer quilting design for machine quilting to showcase my skills using my APQS Millenium. As soon as I figure out one, I’ll be finishing the quilt.

1. Since I dont own any cutter, the 4 1/2 strip cutter may be a place to start.
2. I’d design a Cathederal Windows cutter for hand piecers to get some use out of a cutter! I LOVE that pattern, and someday, I hope to make one for myself.
The UFO i’d like to finish the most, is a “saved” dresden plate. I rescued it off of ebay. Replaced a half dozen of the plates/petals due to holes, etc,..replaced with old flour sack material to match, and the top looks wonderful, if I say so myself!
Reason it’s not done: I have fibromyalsia, and it takes me quite a long time to finish quilts, both longarming with my millennium, and piecing tops. Good Days allow me a couple hours to quilt. Most days NOT.
I’ve been finishing quilts first from friends/family who have quilt tops not yet quilted, and i’ve done theirs first, hence, mine’s taken the back seat!

The UFO is a paper-pieced snowflake that is already a flimsy. I just need to quilt it. What’s keeping me from finishing it are all the other things I’m working on. BUT…it’s on my 2012 UFO to finish list.

Thank you. I would love to have the two and one-half inch cutter to go with my brand new to me Ultimate II quilting machine. It would mean I would have much less UFO’s. One of my oldest is a lap quilt that I started two years ago, Christmas themed. The strips would go nicely on it, and I would finish it and post it as soon as I finished.

I would like all most all of the Go die cutters, but right this moment I’d really like the Rose of Sharon! I really don’t have an idea of what type of die I’d design, but I have a friend that had one made and really loved it.
The UFO that I really need to finish is a BOM from my LQS. It needs the borders. I do really well until I get to the border stage. Don’t really know why!

I like the dresden plate die, but I love the sun bonnet sue one! She is my favorite. Overall Sam isn’t too bad either.
As for the UFO – I have a few things that just need the final touches – finishing appliqué or adding a border. I need to get on that!

All I can say is WOW!! What a GREAT way to get accurate cuts!! So many DIES, it was really hard to decide & since I’m STILL in the beginner stages of quilting I guess the Half Square 3″ finished Triangles. You have a lot of options with that one, I think! As for a die design – I’m no where close to being a quilter of quality to even think that far ahead of what’s on the site. UFO’s, um….. deciding which one would be the first objective and off the top of my head, I’d say putting together the quilt top blocks I won at one of my quilting groups. Since I’m still a beginner, every time I look at those blocks I come up with a different way of putting them together & just can’t seem to make up my mind as to which way I want to do it.

I would love to have the Studio Rose of Sharon #2 to help me finish the border of the quilt I am working on now.
I would like to design a Drunkard’s Path Die to finish at 3 inches to easily mesh with 12 inch blocks.
I am not finished an applique border around an Ohio Star quilt inspired by Liberty Field’s in the Material Obsession book. I am putting off cutting out all those leaves and flowers by hand.

I think that I would have to have the ‘Leaf’ template as I always seem to have problems getting those cut out and most projects I want to do require bundles of them…uggg. So to have a template that would do them easily would be a big plus for me.
Since I LOVE dragonflies..I think I would want to design a filigree dragonfly template. How fun would that be???

1. I would love to have the Double Wedding Ring die. I’ve always liked those kind of quilts, and I’m a newbie, so it would take me a LONG time to cut all that manually! If I could design my own die, I think I would design a die with mascots, specifically my college mascot, the Kansas State Powercat. It would look really cool appliqued onto a quilt! You could do a set of mascots for athletic conferences.
2. I’ve just gotten started quilting, so I only have three UFOs. One, I just started last week (a rail fence scrap quilt), and using my mom’s Go cutter is making that go A LOT faster. We cut a ton of strips with it, whereas before I had to cut all the strips manually. Took forever. Wow, Bradie! What a generous offer. The first die I would get would be one for strips. It seems I use those more than just about anything else, but there are a lot of others that would be right behind. If I were designing a die, it would be for a LeMoyne Star. I didn’t see one on the Web site, and having just put one together recently, it would have been nice to have really accurate, die-cut pieces.
The project I’m procrastinating on is a QOV. I was given a fat-quarter sampler of fabrics from which to make it, but I just can’t seem to get them to come together in my head. I generally use only three or four fabrics in a quilt, I guess, and this one has eight. It’s befuddled me!

Ihave an applique quilt I started about 6 years ago and haven’t finished it because cutting out the applique is hard.
My must have die would be a 2 1/4 ” strip die to cut bindings.
If I could have a custom die, it would be a die that would cut multiple 2 1/2 sq, 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 rectangle and a 2 1/2 x 6 1/2 inche rectangle to be able to use precut 2 1/2 inch jelly roll quilts.

Hi, I think I’d like the strip cutter die so I could use it on almost all quilty projects I make. About 5 years ago I went with my DH to Alaska and Canada. We loved the sights and sounds we experienced. (We just have to go back someday!!) Every time we’d make a stop we’d head out to the quilt shop there. I collected lots of fabric I wanted for my “North West” quilt. On the plane ride home I got pencil and paper and designed my vacation quilt. Well, I got it about 3/4 way pieced and something came up and I never finished it. Facts are, I think about that unfinished quilt top all the time! This spring I am going to drag her out and finish her up as I do love her. A Go-Die Cutter would sure help me get her finished!

Great contest! My favorite would be the strip set die, as I like to do all things strippy. I would like to see some Postive/Negative type dyes such as oak leaves, hearts.
I have several quilts in various stages of completion. They all get finished, just a matter of when. I think I have a short attention span and like to work on different things to keep from getting bored. Time is also an issue, so I try to commit at least 20 minutes a day on quilting.I do have a hand quilting queen size Bear paws on the cabin, that I have been working on for years. That will come in the camper to be finished this summer.

Hard choise, I love all the birds and bohemian applique dies, but the #1 GO cutter die I would like to own right now is Studio Rose Sampler (3-Die Set) Item 50190; if I could design a die it would be a paisley applique die to embellish the borders of quilts made with beautiful paisley fabric; and to use as a element with the leaf cutter to create fantasy paisley flowers on wholecloths.
The UFO I would like to finish the most, is the Rose Log cabin I started in DeLoa Jones class at Sparrow Studioz last June; I just need a dose of get up and go to get the last bunch of blocks done! Then I would embellish the borders with a chain of Rose buds using the Rose Sampler die GO cutter and quilt it on my long arm using quilting designs I learned from DeLoa, Sue and Karen at Sparrow Studioz in the past year.

I would like the ‘Double Wedding Ring’ go cutter, if I could design one it would be ‘Grandmother’s Fan’.
UFO’s I have a couple of ‘Mile a Minutes’, to complete I need to find complimentary sashing and border material – I’ll get on that.

The die I would like best is the dresden plate die. If I could design my own die it would be a lobster, as many of my friends are lobster fishermen! I have several UFO’s, but the one I would really like to finish is a top I made many, many years ago for my daughter, who is now grown with children of her own. It is made up of large and small applique hearts. The only thing keeping me from finishing it is the fact that I was a very new quilter when I started it and it’s not as well made as I would like, although I’m sure somebody would love to have it and not notice any of my imperfections! Thanks for showing the dresden plate you’re working on! How much easier it must be with a die to cut them out! If I had a GO cutter I would probably use it most with a strip cutter die as I hoard scraps (I hate to see little beautifully colored pieces of fabric get tossed out!) and I sew pieces together to make bigger pieces, on and on. I believe a cancer ribbon die would be awesome – what a wonderful way to embellish quilts for cancer treatment patients and survivors (I made a paper piecing pattern that I use). My UFO is an Irish Chain quilt my mother started and was not able to finish – hopefully I’ll get brave enough soon!

The Go!Classic looks appealing, or the 2/5″ strip cutter would also be nice to have.
Finish the double wedding ring I am working on at the moment, before June 30th wedding, for a young lady and her beau. Somewhere between longarming, and this quilt, would like to get a new queen made for our bed this year. Enjoy your blog very much.

The die I would like best would also be the first, so I would choose the 2 1/2″ strip cutter. As for designing my own die it would HAVE to be a penguin as I have collected penguins in all shapes, sizes, and forms for many years now. With each quilt I make I incorporate a penguin somewhere within the quilt…sort of my signature to those who know me.
My #1 UFO would be a queen blooming nine patch quilt that I have been working on for some time now. I am in the habit of making quilts to give away, I have only kept one quilt for myself – the first I ever made, a log cabin queen…this nine patch I have dog earred for myself which is explanation in itself as to why it has not been finished! lol! This year is the nine patch’s year to be finished as I have it basted and ready to quilt…still. This will be my first attempt at the actual quilting of my project; I have an awesome gal who has a lovely long-arm that has done all of my quilting for me in the past. I think this is part of the reason “my” quilt sits on the back burner…I am a bit intimidated at the process. It will be with slight trepidation and stern determination that my Janome and I will embark upon this new journey!

1. I would love to have the Go! Heather Feather #2 by Sarah Vedeler. I am so excited to try her embroidery but it would be immensely easier with a Go! Cutter and die. If I was going to design a die it would be of a Jack Russell Terrier. I make many charity quilts benefitting Jack Russell Terrier Rescue.
2. I have a Watercolor quilt that I would like to finish bordering. I have the fabric but it is lost in my house somewhere and as luck would have it, the border print is discontinued.

I like the die cuts by Ricky Tims, as I usually look at those types, & because of the cutting work just pass them by.
As for one to design, fish as in bass, walleye (fresh water fish). Grandsons love to fish, along with my Dear Husband and sons.
UFO to finsh, a wedding quilt for a nephew, I just received the rest of the fabric so now to just get in my sewing room and go at it…

Your block looks fantastic! I have always loved the Dresden Plate… it is one of my very favorite blocks. You’ve inspired me to make some blocks but I haven’t had time yet (I am always amazed at how you ever find time to do so much!).

My favorite die cut is the eagle by Eleanor Burns, I have always wanted to make a patriotic quilt with eagles on it and this looks like it would make it so much easier to get started on. I love to needle turn applique and did not see a cut that features all kinds of leaves that would be helpful in appliqueing baltimore album blocks. I am currently working on a large applique quilt that requires lots of tracing and cutting out of leaves and flowers…it is very time consuming!

Would love to have the Accuquilter with triangles, because every pattern I choose seems to have half-square triangle stars in it. I would design a pickle dish die, because unless I had a die to cut it out, I’ll probably never make one.
The UFO quilt that needs to be finished has yet to be started… but there are tubs of cowboy print fabrics waiting for it!

I think that I would like the 12″ block die set, because I could get the most use out of it. I would really like a double wedding ring set, but I don’t think they have one yet. As far as my UFO goes, I have many, but the one I would like to finish only needs a border. I want to maike a white picket fence border and it is what is holding me back.

This is fun. I would love the Heathers Feathers #2 die, love it. If I designed a die I think it would be folk art flowers kind of like the stuff Sue Spago does, love her stuff. I project I really need to finish is my Underground Railroad, I have all the blocks finished, but I want the border to look like railroad tracks so I need to figure out how to do that. Some girls in our guild wrote a little skit set in during the Civil War, it was 2 sisters writing back and forth to each other and in each letter one of the quilt blocks was mentioned, they did the skit at several places, for guilds and some senior citizens places and they always used my blocks which is one of the reasons I didn’t get it together. I really enjoyed working on those blocks, thanks for making me remember. I must get those blocks out again.

I would love to have the circle die, I could do so much with it! I have a UFO I began a few years ago at a quilting get-a-way. The problem is I put a lot of work info the center (pieced hexagons) so I need to balance that work in the borders….

I have no idea what die I would design but the idea of “cutting down on the cutting” is great! My Nemesis quilt is a wool appliqué I started at least 8 years ago. It has taught ne that appliqué may not be my thing, seeing as I avoid it as much as I do.
My sister and fellow quilted is actually nearing the end of her UFO list ( at least 30 projects!) and is inspiring me to do the same.
I would love to win the go cutter … My quilt group could make tons more UFO’s with it!

I am new to your site. Have read you on yahoo learn to quilt group. The die plus cutter I would love is the hearts. My UFO that I really would like to complete is…. I have two twin quilt tops that my Mom made when she was going blind. They need to be squared up which I feel very scared about doing. I don’t want to do anything to ruin these tops. The tops patterns were created by my Mom she made the patterns and they have heart appliques. That is why I would like the heart die and feel the cutter would help me make straight cuts something i have great difficulty with. My Mom passed away November 15th at age 85 and I want to finish these quilts in her honor I feel I am a scared quilter.

Hi Bradie – if I was to pick a a die cutter, it would be the Go! Cutter because it’s bigger than the Baby, but still portable. I would take it with me in the RV for long trips down south, so I can continue to use it there. If I could design a die, (and maybe it already is designed) it would be those Kokopelli figures from the US South West. I love those figures!
I have a quilt that is in my UFO pile that I want to complete with an applique butterfilies and flowers in the center – but I just keep moving it to the bottom of the pile because I don’t like all that fussy type cutting!

Oh, Bradie, I would LOVE to win an Accuquilt GO! Cutter. I absolutely NEED the 2 1/2 inch strip dies. I would design an iris die. My UFO is pillows for my couch and bed to match the quilts that reside there. I have some blocks done but need to cut more of the scraps from the quilts to finish designing the pillows. My other projects get in the way and the task of cutting out all the pieces to complete these projects. A GO! Cutter would make that task so much easier! I want to make a Rose of Sharon quilt,so that would be my choice of dies. I am far to inexperienced a quilter to design my own dies, but something really epic like the Rose of Sharon would be cool. That was really too hard a question Bradie! I have had the finished blocks for an online sampler quilt up on my wall for 4 months now and haven’t finished them yet. I am not sure if I am ready to commit to putting them together. I am not happy with how 2 of the blocks turned out technically and I don’t know whether I can live with them the way they are or if I should do them over again.

I would love the applique dies that have the cute birds. Can’t remember the name of them and the Accuquilt Site is acting up for me this morning. If I were to design a die I would design a paper doll with different outfits.
The UFO I am most anxious to complete is a comfort quilt I made for my 39 year old daughter who recently underwent surgery for uterine cancer (thank God it was localized and it looks like they got it all). I ran across some vintage sheets that were the same ones I used to make drapes and a comforter for her when she was 4 or 5 years old. I designed the quilt, pieced it, but still have to back it with minky, quilt and bind.

I like the train die. My grandson loves trains. Or the wedding ring die, I have never made one of those before. If I could design a die, I think it would be trailors and bears or wildlife.
UFO – I have a large metal garbage can full of tops to be quilted. But, I would like to finish 4 millenium quilts (2000 little squares each). I learned recently that if I use the millenium squares as my startie/stoppies during other projects, I should have those blocks done in no time. (I hope) lol.

I would love to have the zoo animals. 2 more grandbabies on the way this year so I’m sure it would be well used! If I could design a die it would probably be cupcakes. I have 1 daughter, 2 daughters-in-law and 1 granddaughter….all cupcake lovers!
My unfinished UFO is a Christmas sampler which I have been wanting to get finished for the past two years…. can’t seem to get to it though, too many weddings and grandbabies keep me quilting for others!

I would choose the 2.5″ strip cutter – either the 2 strip or the 3 strip would work for me!
I can’t think of a design that hasn’t already been thought of by the AccuCutter team!
I started my 1st quilt in my teens – it’s a grandmother’s flower garden, English paper-pieced from the dresses my sisters and I made. Every year I bring it out and review how many flowers are finished and how I could set it. Sometimes I even stitch some more of those darned hexagons together! It’s been 4 decades – that’s all I’ll admit to! All that handwork is so tedious. I should get it done though because I’d love to quilt it on my APQS Millennium while I can still see to quilt! All those 1.5″ hexagons to SID or CC or something……Time to bring it out again!

The die I would most like to have is the Rose of Sharon and a design I would like to see is Clowns.
The UFO I would most like to finish is one I have done except for the binding. I forgot to get fabric for it and now I am having trouble finding it.

I really love the ovals….I can see so many great things to use them for…picture frames, easter eggs, signature blocks, etc. If I could design one it would have to be a little pot-bellied pig after my dear little Lila!
My biggest UFO is the very first quilt I ever started and it began with all of our old jeans. I made about 15 different star blocks using the different shades of denim and some red material. The backing has already been sewn together and all I am waiting on is for my husband to purchase my Millie!! Hopefully I will have one in the next few months and then I can quilt this huge old thing! I wouldn’t send this out as it was my first quilt and I just have the desire to quilt it myself.

I would love the 2.5″ strip one! I have so many designs in my head for quilts that I can’t decide which one I would like to see. I have a number of UFOs just like everyone else. The one I would really like to finish is for our master bedroom. It is going to be all 2″ squares and even doing it in strips first is taking quite a longtime. Getting the cutter and 2.5″ strip would make it so much easier to get it done. Our current quilt is the only thing in our bedroom that does not match our decor…can’t wait to get the quilt done and change that fact!

I follow you through Google reader. I would love to have the dog and cat die cuts. I started a quilt for my daughter after she got married. I have a pattern in my head. I have all the blocks done and had the wedding announcement, invitation embroidered on a block that is 10 inches and was supposed to be 6 inches and now I don’t know how to make it all fit together. So it has been sitting in a box for the past 3 years.

I really like the square blocks (8 or 10 inches). I’ll be darned if I can cut a perfect square right now! I already follow this blog. If I could design a die, I’d like to design some animals that have realistic silhouettes. All of the animals are ‘cartoons’ and lack the detail that the die system has the potential to provide.

1.) So many to choose from!! Love the funky flowers and the zoo animals are adorable!! As a beginner though, the big square and strip cutters seem like something I would choose first! Also, didn’t notice a peace sign die…as a mother as a soon to be 10 yr old girl, I think that would be something I might design!
2.) As a newbie..I dont really have a UFO stash but I am working on a quilted panel valance to match a baby quilt I just finished! What’s keeping me from finishing?!…hmmm…probably the fact that I’m stumbling though the process of it all!! lol!

Thank you for your generous give away! I don’t yet have a Go, but will be getting one soon, and I think one of the first dyes I will get is a strip dye, 1 1/2 inch, as I make a lot of scrappy quilts. If I could design a dye, it would be for the pickle dish! I have several UFO’s, and I have trouble with the bindings, as I have rheumatoid arthritis, and my hands get very sore. Oh I’ve been itching for a go! Me and cutting aren’t good friends and keep thinking how wonderful for one if these. I absolutely live these dies but would love to start with the drunkards path ones! I have a quilt pattern and fabric sitting waiting to come to life but thinking of cutting makes it daunting and procrastinate! I’d love to get it done!!
