A word to quilt by

Filed under: Quilting — quiltcetera @ 10:23 pm

My motto lately has been very simple. It’s one word.
Finish.
Simple right??
In times of temptation, when I’m certain that I need to rip into a whole new project, I remind myself.
Finish.
I have to admit, it feels good to finish a project! Here is a runner which I made Christmas 2011. Matt quilted it early 2011, and it waited patiently until October for binding. I’m happy to say I finished it a couple of days before Christmas. The fabric in this runner is Rouenneries, by French General for Moda. I really like this block and think I will do more of these through 2012 in Xmas fabrics. What do you think?

  1. That’s really pretty! I love the colors and designs by French General, and the block is great. What’s the name of the block??

    • I am not sure of the name! I once saw a block that I really liked and then some time later, did the layout in Quilt Pro from memory. So I’m sure it has a name, I just have no idea what it is. πŸ™‚

  4. Hi Darlene,

I like your motto! I also have so many plans, so many fabric and so many unfinished projects! You are right: let’s finish all the old projects first!!

  9. I agree with you in regard to making a quilt and END.
I liked the table runner because you use only two fabrics and get something great.
