My Post for Quilt Blogger’s Festival

Park City Girl is hosting a fabulous Quilt Blogger’s Festival over at her blog. It’s a great opportunity to see what other blogger’s are quilting. Thanks so much to Michele, for keeping me in the loop with her entry for the quilt blog festival – fall 2009.

The quilt that I would like to share with you is probably my favorite quilt – so far! It is a quilt I made for a class I teach at an Edmonton quilt shop. I call it Bohemian Bargello, as was made from a line of Robert Kaufman fabric called Bohemian Rhapsody. The very second I laid eyes on these fabrics, I knew what they were going to become.

This is a surprisingly easy pattern to make. All the piecing is straight lines, and strip piecing makes it a breeze. A close friend of mine, made one of these as her second quilt! She did an awesome job too.

The pattern izs called Jelly Bargelly, and designed by Black Cat Creations. It is Fat Quarter friendly, or one could use 3 jelly rolls.

For the quilting, I did a free hand swirly feather in a gold, brown variegated thread. I am very pleased with how it turned out.

So tell me…. what do you think?
